About the Role

We are seeking a talented Systems Engineer II to join our team at Raytheon, where you will play a critical role in the execution of integration and analysis activities for our SPY-6 Family of Radars and the GhostEye family of radars.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop concepts of operations for radar systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Design and develop radar processing algorithms, leveraging expertise in signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments.
  • Collaborate with Systems and Software Engineers to develop and implement solutions, driving innovation and excellence in radar system design.
  • Present findings and solutions to Leadership and/or Customers, effectively communicating technical information and results.
  • Contribute to the development of radar software requirements, ensuring alignment with customer needs and system performance goals.
  • Perform statistical and numerical analysis of radar performance data, identifying areas for improvement and optimizing system performance.
  • Develop analysis tools to support problem identification and resolution, driving efficiency and effectiveness in radar system development.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 2 years of prior relevant experience, or 6 years of relevant experience in absence of a degree.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance, with U.S. citizenship required for eligibility.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Active and in-scope Secret US security clearance.
  • Experience with design, development, and analysis of radar system and software architectures.
  • Expertise in signal processing techniques in complex propagation environments.
  • Design experience in radar system areas, including antenna, receiver/exciter, waveforms, digital beamforming, multi-sensor track management and data fusion, adaptive signal processing, clutter mitigation techniques, electronic attack and electronic protect, sensor resource management and mission planning.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Requirements development experience, including use of DOORS.
  • Experience with MATLAB/Python/C++.
  • Experience with technical writing and oral presentations.
  • Masters/PhD in a STEM field.
