Job Role:

Rust Belt Recruiting is looking for a dedicated and results-driven 2nd Shift Supervisor to join our team in Cleveland. This role is responsible for overseeing the production team and ensuring that they meet customer, plant, and management requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

  1. Supervise and coordinate the activities of production personnel to meet customer requirements.
  2. Develop and implement effective production plans to meet customer needs.
  3. Monitor and maintain accurate records and reports related to production, quality, and timekeeping.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve production and quality issues.

Requirements:

  • High School Graduate or GED required.
  • 2+ years' experience managing people in a machining or production setting is required.
  • Leadership Qualities: Results-oriented with a proven ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • Motivated to help production team and seek out and resolve issues.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to positively influence, motivate, and set clear expectations for team members, ensuring follow-through and accountability.
  • Extensive knowledge of machining processes, equipment operation, and blueprint interpretation.
  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills, including troubleshooting complex machining issues.
  • Proficiency in Continuous Improvement tools and methodologies such as Lean, 5S, and Kaizen facilitation.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with team members, leadership, and cross-functional departments.
  • Ability to work professionally, tactfully, and collaboratively with diverse teams, external partners, and customers as needed.
