Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Chemical Operator to join our team at Tremco Construction Products Group, Inc. in Cleveland. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility and the production of high-quality products.

Salary
$23.55 per hour plus shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts. In addition to your base salary, you will also receive a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, as well as a 401(k) plan with company match and stock purchase program.

Job Responsibilities
As a Chemical Operator, you will be responsible for performing various tasks assigned by supervision, including shipping/receiving, inventory warehouse management, grinding, and reactor operation. You will work closely with our R&D, Quality Control, Maintenance, and other Manufacturing personnel to ensure seamless integration and minimize the generation of substandard product. Your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Performing job duties and tasks assigned by Supervision, strictly following procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Training other Plant Operators in areas such as shipping/receiving, grinding, and reactor operations.
  • Communicating problems to Supervisors or Plant Manager in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Exhibiting a team attitude in all aspects of job performance, working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals.
  • Assisting Supervisors in maintaining accurate records of supplies.

Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following skills and qualifications:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills, with a cooperative and disciplined attitude to ensure effective teamwork.
  • Ability to lift 60 pounds.
  • Previous experience in a chemical manufacturing environment, although not required, is preferred.
