Job Title: Financial Controller/HR Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Financial Controller/HR Manager to join our team at Franklin Press Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial management and Human Resource practices and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition.
  • Coordinate and direct the preparation of financial forecasts and report variances.
  • Prepare and publish timely monthly financial statements to the owners and report year-end financial statements to the CPA.
  • Research technical accounting issues for compliance.
  • Ensure quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting, monitor loans, AP, and AR.
  • Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings.
  • Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls.
  • Manage and administer employee benefits.
  • Develop and manage employee relations.

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience as a Financial Controller.
  • 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting.
  • Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures.
  • Experience with creating financial statements.
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.
  • Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percent.
  • Excellent accounting software user; working knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Adobe; and administration skills.
  • Working knowledge of benefit plans, current labor regulations, and OSHA regulations.

Physical Requirements:

  • Little physical effort.
  • Lifting and performing other work requiring light physical exertion (up to 30 pounds) is intermittent.
  • Sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional need to stoop or kneel.
  • Work is performed in basic normal working conditions as in a standard office environment.
