Clinical Application Analyst Job Description

Community Care Plan is seeking a skilled Clinical Application Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare IT department, you will be responsible for implementing, configuring, and optimizing clinical software applications to support our organization's mission.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and configure clinical application software applications, with a focus on JIVA (ZeOmega).
  • Provide support during go-live and rollout phases, and monitor and address application issues.
  • Participate in the planning and execution of system upgrades, patches, and other maintenance activities to ensure minimal disruption to clinical operations.
  • Provide end-user training and support for clinical applications to ensure effective utilization of the systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation for all clinical applications, including system configurations, data flows, and user guides.
  • Work with various teams to improve clinical system functionality and optimize workflows through system customization.
  • Propose system modifications to improve effectiveness and efficiencies based on user feedback and system performance.
  • Conduct regular system audits to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards and regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Collaborate with help desk and vendors to resolve escalated issues.
  • Perform data analysis, identify issues, and implement solutions to improve data accuracy and reporting.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years' experience in a health data analyst role, clinical application support, or healthcare IT.
  • Experience with JIVA (ZeOmega) or similar clinical applications is highly preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and clinical staff.
  • Experience working in a health plan or managed care organization is preferred.
