Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and committed Maintenance Operations Manager to lead our maintenance team at Sam's Club. This role is crucial for ensuring the efficient operation of maintenance functions across our facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute maintenance strategies, policies, and procedures to enhance equipment efficiency and reduce downtime.
  • Perform routine inspections to detect potential problems and ensure adherence to safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with various departments to schedule maintenance tasks with minimal impact on operations.
  • Analyze equipment performance data and implement preventive maintenance initiatives to boost reliability and cut costs.
  • Elevate the technical skills of the Operations and Maintenance team through training and standardization.
  • Oversee maintenance budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and adherence to financial targets.
  • Recruit, train, and mentor maintenance personnel, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Partner with suppliers to procure equipment, parts, and services at competitive rates while maintaining quality.
  • Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and quality standards.
  • Stay informed about industry advancements, technologies, and best practices in maintenance management.
  • Implement operational plans by communicating objectives, managing staffing, assigning tasks, and coordinating workloads to meet facility goals.
Qualifications for Success:
  • Demonstrated experience in maintenance management, ideally in a leadership capacity.
  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
  • Familiarity with Industrial Automated Controls.
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Software.
  • Exceptional leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Foundational knowledge of agile and/or lean management principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and Power Platform.
  • Solid grasp of maintenance planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Effective communication skills with team members, stakeholders, and senior management.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
  • High standards of performance, leading by example and holding the team accountable.
