Job Overview

The Facilities Maintenance Lead is responsible for managing all machinery and equipment within the logistics operation. Key duties include supervising preventive maintenance schedules, addressing unexpected repairs, adhering to safety regulations, training operators, and coordinating with vendors.

This role requires leading the maintenance team to ensure seamless business operations within a logistics environment. The ideal candidate will maintain current preventive maintenance protocols, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and develop new initiatives as necessary. The Facilities Maintenance Lead will collaborate with the Distribution Operations Leadership team to enhance productivity and operational efficiency. Building strong vendor relationships, analyzing performance data, and managing project-related administration are also essential components of this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all maintenance tasks at the facility, ensuring timely and effective repairs and modifications.
  • Plan and supervise the activities of all maintenance personnel.
  • Establish daily priorities for maintenance tasks and monitor progress.
  • Ensure all facility systems operate reliably and comply with customer and regulatory standards.
  • Develop and implement a training program for maintenance staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Coordinate all scheduled projects and outages with relevant stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and power units.
  • Identify and rectify malfunctions in electrical systems and machinery.
  • Ensure compliance with corporate policies and Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations during all maintenance activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of service cycles and maintenance activities.
  • Effectively manage time and complete tasks assigned by management.
  • Report any damages or defects in electrical systems to the supervising manager.
  • Order spare parts and maintain necessary documentation.
  • Utilize electrical repair and testing tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Perform light building maintenance tasks, such as changing bulbs and painting.
  • Conduct daily inventory counts of parts and tools.
  • Assist in moving or installing new equipment as needed.

Compensation

Salary range: $82,000 - $85,000

Work Schedule:

Monday - Friday: 2:00 PM - 11:30 PM, with occasional weekend work.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in Industrial Maintenance, Manufacturing, or Logistics.
  • Familiarity with pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems is preferred.
  • Experience with forklifts, packaging machinery, conveyors, and other related equipment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in electrical testing and repair of material handling equipment.
  • Skilled in using various power and hand tools.
  • Forklift operation experience is a plus.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.
