Job Description: Financial Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Financial Operations Specialist to join our team at WellSpace Health. As a Financial Operations Specialist, you will be responsible for supporting our financial and administration operations, ensuring financial stability and transparency. Your responsibilities will include processing daily financial transactions, preparing monthly reports, and maintaining accurate records.

You will work closely with our accounting team to ensure accuracy and compliance with organizational policies, grant requirements, and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP). This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in finance and administration.

Responsibilities:
  • Process daily financial transactions, including patient claims and capitation receivables.
  • Prepare monthly reports outlining payments, incentives, and adjustments for various financial agreements or funding sources.
  • Maintain aging reports and follow up with external agencies on past due balances.
  • Support the month-end close process by assisting with general ledger reconciliations and other assigned tasks.
Requirements:
  • Associate's degree or some college-level accounting courses with relevant work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably with grant billing experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel required; experience with Sage Intaact preferred but not required.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time management skills.
