Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) team in Temple, Texas.

Job Summary

We are looking for a compassionate and experienced RN to provide high-quality patient care to critically ill children in our 16-bed PICU. As a member of our team, you will work collaboratively with intensivists, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill children, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
  • Participate in unit-based committees to improve patient care and unit operations.
  • Contribute to a culture of safety and quality by identifying and reporting near misses and adverse events.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an accredited RN program.
  • Active RN license in the state of Texas.
  • Minimum of 6 months of RN experience in a pediatric or critical care setting.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
