Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse to join our team in Temple, Texas.
About the RoleAs a Pediatric Intensive Care Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care to critically ill children in our 16-bed Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team, including intensivists, nurses, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care to our young patients.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough clinical assessments and develop individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, performing procedures, and monitoring vital signs.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and effective communication.
- Participate in unit-based committees to improve patient outcomes and enhance the overall patient experience.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest evidence-based practices and guidelines in pediatric critical care.
- Current RN licensure in the state of Texas.
- At least 1 year of experience in pediatric critical care or a related field.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
