Hourly Rate: $19.50 - $23.00

Position Summary:
In collaboration with the Program Director, the Shelter Operations Supervisor is responsible for the effective management and operation of the shelter program. This role is essential in providing support and guidance to our guests, assisting them in their journey towards permanent housing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess clients' strengths and needs to ensure adherence to the DHCD monthly Re-housing Plan.
  • Oversee the daily welfare and activities of clients.
  • Engage in meetings with clients, staff, and management teams.
  • Contribute to program planning and budget development.
  • Manage staff schedules and arrange for relief coverage as necessary.
  • Facilitate communication with residents' service networks.
  • Participate in regular consultation meetings with the Program Director.
  • Document log notes, progress reports, and other required paperwork.
  • Provide counseling, training, and supervision to staff during shifts.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to crises through a 24-hour on-call system.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the Program Director.


Qualifications:
  • Bilingual candidates (Haitian Creole / French / Spanish) are encouraged to apply.
  • Bachelor's Degree and management experience preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience working with low-income populations or individuals affected by mental health issues and/or addiction.
  • Strong skills in verbal and written communication, collaboration, organization, and technology use.
