Shaker for ChristianaCare Direct is in search of a Registered Nurse to fulfill a 36-hour work week on the Day Shift. The role is situated within a dynamic medical team focused on patient-centered care.

The 5C Medical Teaching Unit comprises a collaborative team of medical nursing staff, hospitalists, and specialized consultants. Your role will involve utilizing your skills to assess patients' physical and emotional conditions, their medical history, and their understanding of their health challenges and treatments. As a medical nurse, you will engage in a relationship-based care model, fostering connections with patients, their families, and your colleagues, all while upholding our core values of compassion and excellence.

We will design and implement your nursing care to enhance patient wellness and comfort, overseeing a team of five medical/surgical patients per shift. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary medical team to achieve realistic healthcare objectives and address the educational needs of patients and their families. Your responsibilities will include monitoring patients, managing emergencies, and providing continuous supportive care. Following treatment and the achievement of medical goals, you will assist in transitioning patients to the appropriate level of care.

General Requirements:

  • BSN is required.
  • ADN candidates must commit to obtaining a BSN within three years of hire and possess relevant experience.

  • BLS certification is required.

The successful candidate may be eligible for a sign-on bonus, distributed over a 12-month period.
