Overview

Kamatics, a division of Kaman Aerospace, is seeking a skilled KAflex Assembly Technician to contribute to our KAflex Value Stream team. This role involves performing assembly and inspection tasks essential for the manufacturing processes within the KAflex department.

Kamatics is recognized for its expertise in designing and producing advanced mechanical products, including self-lubricating bearings and driveline couplings, utilized across various sectors such as aviation, marine, hydropower, and other industrial applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute all assembly tasks within a designated cell.
  • Assemble and fine-tune intricate components.
  • Label, mark, and package parts while making necessary adjustments to meet client specifications.
  • Develop and document assembly protocols.
  • Adhere to productivity and quality standards while following established work procedures.
  • Set up and operate multiple assembly machines and processes, achieving mastery in at least two machines.
  • Serve as a troubleshooter for assembly-related issues, resolving problems or escalating them as needed.
  • Provide training to assemblers on operational procedures.
  • Occasionally perform machinist duties as required.
  • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections of mechanical components and assemblies to ensure compliance with specifications, utilizing various inspection tools including CMM devices.
  • Identify defects related to surface quality, dimensions, and non-conformities, reporting any discrepancies to the Senior Team Leader.
  • Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to safety and environmental regulations.
  • Propose enhancements to work processes and actively participate in the 5S program within the work area.

Qualifications:

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a manufacturing environment
