Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at Kaman. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing visual and dimensional inspections of mechanical components and assemblies to close tolerance.

The ideal candidate will have 1+ years of manufacturing inspection experience and be proficient in CMM operations and programming. Additionally, they will have a strong understanding of geometric tolerances and dimensions.

The Quality Assurance Specialist will work closely with the Value Stream Manager/Sr. Team Leader to ensure that production schedules are met and quality standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform visual and dimensional inspections of mechanical components and assemblies
  • Identify defects in surface, dimensional, visual, and non-conformities
  • Report non-conformance of materials or unusual conditions to Quality Supervisor and cell leader
  • Use CMM tools and instruments to verify dimensions to drawing specifications
  • Maintain records, data, and logs as necessary

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ years of manufacturing inspection experience
  • Proficient in CMM operations and programming
  • Strong understanding of geometric tolerances and dimensions
