We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Robot Control System team, contributing to the evolution of our automated retail technology. In this position, you will lead the ongoing improvement and upkeep of our software, collaborating with a skilled team of engineers specializing in robot control, routing, and task management.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development of reactive microservices in Java that effectively manage customer orders and coordinate robot operations within our ecosystem.
- Work closely with electrical, mechanical, and embedded teams to establish precise software specifications and facilitate the integration of software with other system components.
- Oversee various aspects of the robotics system, monitoring and evaluating critical metrics and datasets.
- Ensure that the software produced is modular, maintainable, and well-documented.
- Proven experience in core Java development (preferably Java 8 or higher), especially in the field of robotics or automation systems.
- Experience in designing reactive microservices or constructing event-driven distributed systems utilizing asynchronous actors.
- Familiarity with messaging platforms such as Kafka, ActiveMQ, or RabbitMQ.
- Experience with NoSQL databases and in-memory caching solutions, such as Redis or similar technologies. Familiarity with Azure DX (ADX) is preferred.
- Strong understanding of networking principles, including TCP/IP, HTTP, etc.
- Proficient in Unit Testing using tools like Junit, Mockito, or equivalent frameworks.
- Demonstrated success in agile environments, focusing on iterative development, feedback, and adaptability.
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
