As a Market Leadership Director within PNC's Institutional Asset Management division, you will oversee a seasoned team in designated markets.
In this role, you will lead a proficient team of sales, service, and investment specialists responsible for PNC's OCIO, 401(k), Custody, and proprietary fixed income offerings. You will be accountable for your market's strategic business plan, profit and loss, asset under management growth, and client retention. Your active participation in new business development and client service initiatives will be crucial. You will represent PNC IAM within the community and collaborate with other PNC leaders in your market.
Key Responsibilities
- Directs and manages teams to meet business objectives and enhance customer experience. May involve direct sales and client engagement responsibilities while overseeing both individual contributors and managerial staff. Responsible for the financial performance of the team(s). Plays a vital role in formulating goals and strategies.
- Leads and motivates to fulfill team objectives. Monitors performance metrics and adjusts sales strategies accordingly. Develops and implements account and sales plans. May have direct sales and client engagement responsibilities.
- Manages risk and return, ensuring quality service for new and existing clients. Identifies and addresses various types of risks, including regulatory, reputational, operational, credit, and human capital risks. Acts as a key point of contact for risk management issues, facilitating problem resolution and exercising exception authority.
- Builds and maintains a robust network of senior internal and external relationships to attract new clients and enhance existing client experiences. Engages within the industry and may take on a leadership role in community and market initiatives. Guides the team in presenting the full spectrum of PNC's products and services to clients. Aids team members in expanding their professional networks. Utilizes reporting and sales tools to identify and coach the team in converting sales opportunities.
- Develops team members while tracking progress against established goals. May assist in the development of other managers. Identifies high-potential employees and fosters effective teams. Inspires and nurtures staff, including attracting and retaining top talent and addressing performance-related issues. Effectively plans, organizes, directs, analyzes, and evaluates staff and processes. Connects strategic objectives to daily operations and keeps the team informed regularly.

In lieu of a degree, a comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience (including military service) may be considered.
