The Machine Builder will play a crucial role in the assembly and troubleshooting of mechanical systems, components, and equipment, contributing to the development of tailored machinery and robotic systems.
- Design and construct systems and sub-assemblies according to technical drawings and engineering specifications.
- Assist in the integration and installation of machinery.
- Diagnose and replace faulty components as necessary.
- Work collaboratively with project teams to ensure the delivery of operational systems to clients.
- Engage in travel for system installation and reconfiguration at client locations.
- Establish departmental objectives aligned with organizational goals.
- Provide training to clients and assist in the creation of support documentation.
- Propose enhancements for quality and cost efficiency.
- Demonstrate the ability to wire and test machine electrical circuits.
- Support vendor communications for ordering components.
- Carry out additional assigned responsibilities.
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in Machine Building is advantageous.
- 3-5 years of experience in machine assembly.
- Background as a toolmaker or machinist is beneficial.
- Knowledge of electrical circuits and ability to interpret technical drawings.
- Familiarity with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Expertise in machine tools and maintenance practices.
- Capability to verify part conformity using measurement tools.
- Self-motivated with effective communication skills.
- Experience in a collaborative team environment.
