Regional Manager Job Description

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Regional Manager to join our Property Management team at Woda Cooper Companies, Inc. This is a unique opportunity to lead and oversee the operations of our apartment communities within a designated geographical area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct and oversee the overall operations of assigned communities, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Supervise Community Managers and provide guidance and support to ensure exceptional leadership and team performance.
  • Travel to communities as required, with some overnight stays.
  • Ensure all actions on site are conducted within company policy and procedures.
  • Manage resident requests and complaints in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure residents adhere to lease terms and rules/regulations.
  • Manage resident files and ensure compliance with regulatory commitments.
  • Develop and implement marketing plans to attract new residents.
  • Review and manage expenditures to ensure communities operate within budget.
  • Ensure communities maintain high curb appeal.
  • Staff open positions with qualified employees.
  • Manage employee relations, including timecard approval, PTO, attendance monitoring, and reviews.
  • Develop operating budgets and conduct regular community inspections.
  • Evaluate cost efficiency of maintenance operations.

Requirements

  • Experience managing multiple communities.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • 5+ years experience in affordable housing programs, including LIHTC, USDA Rural Development, Section 8, and HOME.
  • Strong computer skills and experience with Yardi Voyager.
