Key Responsibilities:

2. **Strategic Planning:** Establish and implement policies and procedures that optimize resource allocation, including personnel, budget, and technology.
3. **Program Development:** Lead the creation of annual and multi-year transportation plans, collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure a balanced and effective work plan.
4. **Environmental Compliance:** Ensure all necessary environmental documentation and public involvement processes are completed in accordance with regulations.
5. **Traffic and Safety Analysis:** Conduct comprehensive studies to assess highway safety, operational needs, and system conditions.
6. **Asset Management:** Collaborate with engineering teams to maintain an accurate inventory of transportation assets and ensure their optimal performance.

Collaboration and Representation:

Act as a liaison with external agencies, local governments, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and project coordination. Participate in statewide planning processes and represent the department in various committees and task forces.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess a valid professional engineering license from the Ohio Board of Registered Professional Engineers & Surveyors, along with significant supervisory experience in engineering or relevant positions within the Ohio Department of Commerce.
