Job Description:
Rotork is seeking a Sales Manager to join their CPI team in the US Industrial Heartland. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales and a passion for building relationships with customers.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for all sales related activities, including developing and maintaining relationships with end-users, engineering consultants, contractors, and channel partners. They will effectively manage local channel partners and maximize the performance of these channels.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in Chemical/Petrochemical and general industrial markets in the US Industrial Heartland, with a preference for experience directly in valve automation. They will also have a Bachelor's Degree or relevant technical qualifications and associated experience.
The Sales Manager will be responsible for delivering effective reporting and Rotork Customer Engagement (CRM) to ensure that data relating to their sales activities is recorded and shared with others when needed. They will also keep informed about the company's competitive position and the actions of competitors.
The Sales Manager will work in co-operation with their Manager and other Area Sales Managers to develop a sales plan. They will be responsible for ensuring that sales targets are achieved and that customer satisfaction is maintained.
The successful candidate will have high level of self-motivation, independence, and self-reliance, as well as knowledge of Chemical Industry, Mining and Automated Industrial Processes.
Responsibilities:
- Develops and maintains relationships with End Users, Engineering Consultants, Contractors, and Channel Partners.
- Effectively manages local channel partners (Manufacturer's Representatives and Distributors) and maximizes the performance of these channels.
- Monitors and pursues project sales as well as service and aftermarket sales at existing customers.
- Delivers effective reporting / Rotork Customer Engagement (CRM) to ensure that data relating to their sales activities is recorded and shared with others when needed.
- Keeps informed about our competitive position and the actions of competitors.
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in Chemical/Petrochemical and general industrial markets in the US Industrial Heartland.
- Preferably experience directly in valve automation.
- Bachelor's Degree (or relevant technical qualifications and associated experience).
- Strong existing business relations with customers in target industries at a senior management level.
- Familiar with techniques required to co-ordinate the sale of products and services on capital projects as well as to resellers and end-users.
The Successful Candidate:
- Experience in the sale of engineered industrial automation products or process equipment.
- High level of self-motivation, independence, and self-reliance.
- Knowledge of Chemical Industry, Mining and Automated Industrial Processes.
