About this Role:
We are seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator for our ongoing projects.

The Heavy Equipment Operator will be tasked with the secure transportation of materials and machinery, as well as loading and unloading as required.

This role involves the safe and proficient operation and maintenance of construction machinery, including:
Primary Equipment:
Trencor 1260HD or 1275, Tesmec 1150 or 1275, Vermeer 1055, and Tesmec 1295.

Secondary Equipment:
Cable plows, backhoe, mini excavator, skid steer, rock saw, and various other utility construction machinery. This position will also require the safe transportation of materials and equipment, along with loading and unloading tasks.

The operator will ensure compliance with safety protocols and effectively manage the operation of construction equipment.

This is a travel position for project assignments. Daily per diem will be provided.

What You'll Do:

Position Responsibilities:
Safely operate all heavy machinery

Excavate trenches, back-fill, and level earth to specified grades

Transport materials and equipment

Load and unload machinery and materials as necessary

Adhere to all safety procedures on-site

Ensure secure transport of materials and equipment

Comply with all DOT regulations

Conduct daily vehicle inspections and Job Hazard Analyses (JHA)

What You'll Bring:

Position Qualifications:
Valid CDL Class A license

Experience in operating heavy machinery

Clean driving record (no more than 2 violations in the past 5 years)

Strong commitment to quality and safety

Excellent time management abilities

*Compensation is based on experience and skill level.

Working Conditions:
This is a full-time hourly position, with an expectation of at least 40 hours per week.

The role is primarily outdoors, exposing the operator to various weather conditions such as extreme cold, rain, sleet, snow, humidity, high temperatures, and strong winds.

The work environment may vary throughout the day, including different terrains, traffic, and urban or rural settings. There may be occasional exposure to natural gas and electrical hazards, as well as moderate to loud noise levels.

Physical Requirements:

The employee must be able to stand for extended periods (up to 12 hours), endure extreme weather conditions, and follow safety instructions. The role requires the ability to lift up to 75 pounds regularly and perform tasks involving lifting, standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and crawling.

Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
