The role involves operating various types of engineering and construction machinery. The primary focus is on the effective use of heavy equipment to support maintenance and construction tasks. Key responsibilities include:

  • Operating gas or diesel-powered machinery, including road graders, bulldozers, front-end loaders, backhoes, and trench diggers.
  • Utilizing equipment for tasks such as pushing, pulling, excavating, and grading earth and refuse.
  • Performing functions like cutting, moving, and leveling materials to maintain roadways and infrastructure.
  • Conducting road maintenance activities, including snow removal during winter conditions.
Work Environment
The position is based in a scenic area, providing a unique opportunity to work in a beautiful natural setting while contributing to essential infrastructure projects.

Employment Conditions

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Appointment is subject to a background investigation.

Relevant volunteer experience is recognized and can contribute to the qualifications for this position.

Education

There is no educational substitution for experience in this role.
