Aviation Technology Associates (AVTECH) is seeking an Aircraft Tech II.

Position Overview:

With minimal oversight, the technician will conduct inspections, maintenance, and repairs of moderate to advanced complexity on aircraft systems and structures.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  • Effectively communicate to understand and execute work assignments. Carry out intricate aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with limited supervision.
  • Collaborate with the Maintenance Team Lead, Shop Team Manager, and Inspection Department to ensure adherence to internal and FAA inspection and documentation standards. Accurately complete maintenance paperwork in a timely manner.
  • Ensure all completed work adheres to quality standards and specifications.
  • Correctly identify and secure customer property and equipment. Safely store aircraft components and customer property.
  • Follow established procedures when operating ground support equipment, including power carts, hydraulic mules, and forklifts.
  • Assist with aircraft movement within hangar and ramp areas.
  • Provide mentorship and training to junior technicians.
  • Safeguard customer property.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Properly manage the disposal of waste materials such as fuel, oil, and hydraulic fluids. Maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
  • Implement Lean and continuous improvement practices in all responsibilities.
  • Utilize and maintain company-provided tools and equipment, ensuring they are returned to designated storage after use.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and procedures, using protective equipment as necessary, and proactively address unsafe conditions.
  • Utilize the material tracking system for parts demand, tracking issues, and labor charging to work orders.
  • May involve flight tests on aircraft as part of certification and final phase testing.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification along with 2 years of aviation maintenance experience, or 4 years of aviation maintenance experience including 2 years on mid/large size aircraft.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.

Other Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with FAA regulations, process specifications, and company policies.

Shift: Weekend Days

Estimated Pay Rate: $32.19 per hour.
