Position Overview:

With minimal oversight, this role involves conducting inspections, maintenance, and repairs of moderate to advanced complexity on various aircraft systems and structures.

Key Responsibilities:

Essential Duties:

  • Effectively communicate to understand and execute work assignments. Carry out intricate aircraft inspections, repairs, and modifications with limited supervision.
  • Collaborate with Maintenance Team Leaders, Supervisors, and the Inspection Department to ensure adherence to internal and FAA inspection and documentation standards. Complete CMP cards, work order sign-offs, and other necessary paperwork accurately and promptly.
  • Ensure all completed work meets established quality standards and specifications.
  • Correctly identify and tag customer property and equipment. Securely store aircraft components and other customer assets.
  • Adhere to standard operating procedures while utilizing ground support equipment (such as external power carts, hydraulic mules, hydraulic lift platforms, tow tugs, forklifts, and compressed gas cylinders).
  • Assist with aircraft movement within hangar and ramp areas.
  • Provide mentorship and training to less experienced technicians.
  • Safeguard customer property.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Properly collect and dispose of waste materials, including fuel, oil, hydraulic fluids, de-icing fluids, and solvent rags. Implement 6S and Lean Initiatives to maintain cleanliness and organization in work areas.
  • Apply Lean and continuous improvement methodologies to all areas of responsibility.
  • Utilize and maintain company-provided tools and equipment, ensuring items are returned to designated storage after use.
  • Comply with safety regulations and procedures, using protective equipment as necessary and addressing unsafe conditions proactively.
  • Utilize the material tracking system to generate parts demand, monitor issues, and document labor against work orders.
  • May involve conducting flight tests on aircraft in support of certification and final phase testing.
  • Perform other assigned duties as necessary.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certificate along with 2 years of aviation maintenance experience, or 4 years of aviation maintenance experience including 2 years on mid/large size aircraft is required.
  • A valid Driver's License is required.

Other Qualifications:

  • Proficient understanding of FAA regulations, process specifications, Repair Station and Quality Control manuals, and company policies and procedures.

Shift: Weekend Days

Estimated Pay Rate: $32.19 per hour.
