The role of a Server on board our vessels is crucial for delivering an exceptional guest experience during both public cruises and private charters. This position involves providing high-quality dining and attentive service to our patrons through various food and beverage tasks. Ideal candidates will demonstrate the ability to remain composed in a dynamic environment and exhibit a collaborative spirit, assisting with bar duties and the preparation and closing of the vessel.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Exhibit strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to manage multiple tasks with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of all supply and storage areas.
  • Demonstrate good judgment, adaptability, creativity, and sensitivity to changing circumstances and guest needs.
  • Collaborate effectively with the operations team and back-of-house staff to create memorable guest experiences.
  • Maintain poise and grace while multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
  • Set up and dismantle dining areas, preparation zones, equipment, and stations for events.
  • Accurately take and relay food and beverage orders to the appropriate personnel.
  • Possess a broad understanding of fine dining setups and proper service techniques.
  • Adhere to established cash handling procedures.
  • Serve food and beverage orders promptly, following established protocols.
  • Verify identification for any customer ordering alcohol who appears under 30 years of age.
  • Maintain consistent attendance and punctuality in accordance with scheduled hours.
  • Be a supportive team member and assist with vessel preparation and closure.
  • Load and unload food and supplies onto vessels as required.
  • Uphold grooming standards and uniform requirements.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health codes.
  • Assist back-of-house staff in dismantling equipment and cleaning the vessel at the end of shifts.
  • Participate in safety meetings and other necessary training sessions as directed by management.
  • Follow departmental policies and procedures regarding safety and security protocols.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months of experience in food service is preferred.
  • A minimum of 6 months of hospitality experience, with knowledge of food, wine, and spirits.
  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Food Handler Certification is required; TIPS certification is a plus.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills are essential.
  • Must be able to obtain necessary certifications.
  • Experience with Point of Service (POS) systems is beneficial.
  • Availability for days, evenings, weekends, and holiday shifts is required, with a flexible schedule.
