Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and serve drinks to guests and servers, following standard recipes and practicing portion control.
  • Provide a fun and high-energy environment for guests, while maintaining a professional distance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized bar area, including requisitioning and stocking liquor, beer, wine, and other supplies.
  • Open and close the bar according to standard operating procedures.
  • Describe wines, beers, and spirits to guests, and make recommendations as requested.
  • Upsell food and beverage items to maximize profitability.
  • Handle cash, charge, room, and credit card transactions accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Follow all standard food handling, sanitation, TIPS, and health department guidelines.
Requirements
  • Two years of prior bartending experience, preferably in a hotel or resort environment.
  • A strong knowledge of food and beverage preparation, hotel service standards, guest relations, and etiquette.
  • Maintains extensive knowledge of all menu and bar items.
  • Valid current Food Handlers Card and RBS Certification (Responsible Beverage Service) or willingness and ability to obtain one within 30 days of employment.
