Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Meat Specialist to join our dynamic kitchen team at Cote Korean Steakhouse in Miami. This role involves setting up and maintaining the butcher station, ensuring high-quality meats meet our standards, and working efficiently with other team members to deliver outstanding service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparation and Presentation: Prepare primal cuts and large cuts into forms ready for cooking using various techniques, including boning, tying, grinding, cutting, and trimming.
  • Maintenance and Cleanliness: Maintain and clean the meat preparation counter to prevent food contamination and adhere to food safety guidelines.
  • Team Collaboration: Work efficiently with kitchen team members and comply with company procedures and food safety standards.
  • Customer Service: Weigh and label cuts of meat for on-demand selections by customers in an efficient manner that keeps customers happy.
Requirements and Qualifications:
  • Experience and Skills: Must have 3+ years of similar experience in a professional kitchen environment. Proficient knife-handling skills and excellent understanding of various cooking techniques, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Education and Certifications: Culinary Arts degree preferred. Familiarity with Korean cuisine preferred. Food Handler's Certification or ability to obtain.
  • Physical Demands: Exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 12 hours per day and at least 60 hours per week. Lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Frequently stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and kneel.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $55,000-$65,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as comprehensive medical, dental, and vision benefits, flexible spending account/health savings account, commuter benefits, referral bonus program, career advancement opportunities, employee recognition awards, and paid time off.
