Job Summary

As a key member of our Fiscal Operations Payment Adjustment Unit, you will be responsible for overseeing the processing of child support account adjustments based on various tax offset lists and lottery winnings. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the processing of child support account adjustments based on various tax offset lists and lottery winnings.
  • Perform administrative reviews of Abandon Property accounts, producing lists for the Accounting section and making adjustments as necessary.
  • Monitor workflow and allocate staff to meet agency objectives in a timely fashion.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to subordinate staff in accurately completing work involved in applying tax and lottery funds to accounts and disbursing credits to clients, respondents, or the agency.
  • Compile accurate statistical data on incoming work and work completed within prescribed deadlines, preparing weekly/monthly performance reports.
  • Utilize this information to assign or redeploy staff to areas with backlogs, ensuring timely account adjustments.
  • Handle technical and complex cases requiring decision-making and judgment above that of subordinate staff.
  • Oversee adherence to time and leave regulations, performance evaluations, and staff counseling and advisement.

Requirements
  • A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and three years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, one year of which must have been in an administrative capacity or supervising staff performing clerical/administrative work of more than moderate difficulty.
  • An associate degree or 60 semester credits from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, including one year of administrative supervisory experience.
  • A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent approved by a State's department of education or a recognized accrediting organization and five years of satisfactory full-time progressively responsible clerical/administrative experience, including one year of administrative supervisory experience.
