As a Cook, you will play a vital role in ensuring the quality, taste, and freshness of all buffet offerings. Attention to detail in speed, cleanliness, and adherence to product specifications is essential.

Food Preparation Responsibilities:
  • Prepare all hot buffet items following established recipes and procedures.
  • Utilize various cooking equipment, including ovens, steamers, grills, and fryers, to meet quality standards.
  • Ensure that all food items are served fresh and at the correct temperature.
  • Restock items at the Display Cooking Station as needed.
  • Follow the buffet production system to maintain quality and compliance.
Operational Standards:
  • Maintain proper cooking and holding temperatures for all food products.
  • Use production guides to manage inventory of hot cook items.
  • Complete necessary opening and closing procedures.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained according to guidelines.
  • Implement FIFO (first-in, first-out) for food product rotation.
  • Conduct inventory checks with management at the start and end of shifts.
Sanitation and Cleanliness:
  • Ensure cooking areas and utensils are clean and sanitized.
  • Adhere to cleanliness and service standards as outlined.
  • Comply with local health department regulations.

Guest Interaction:
  • Ensure that all cooked items are served hot and fresh for guests.
  • Maintain friendly and professional communication with guests.
  • Assist guests with product inquiries and service.

This position requires standing and walking for extended periods, along with moderate to heavy lifting and carrying. The work environment involves exposure to varying temperatures and requires the use of kitchen tools effectively.
