About the Job:

We are seeking a skilled Eye Care Specialist to join our team at California Correctional Health Care Services. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a positive impact on the lives of inmates and staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive eye exams using observation and instruments to determine visual acuity and perception, focus, and coordination.
  • Diagnose diseases and other abnormalities of the eye.
  • Maintain order and supervise the conduct of inmates, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Protect and maintain the safety of persons and property within the correctional facility.

Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid license to practice optometry in the State of California.
  • Two years of experience in the practice of optometry.
  • Able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000 per year, depending on experience. Our benefits package includes health, dental, and vision insurance, as well as opportunities for professional development and growth.
