Employment Type: Part-Time
Shift: Daytime Hours

Position Overview:
As a Registered Nurse in the Inpatient Cardiac Care unit, you will be integral in enhancing and restoring the health of patients through direct nursing interventions. You will collaborate closely with physicians and a multidisciplinary team, overseeing and guiding the efforts of other healthcare staff while exercising independent judgment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Utilize independent judgment to assign nursing staff to specific patients
  • Promote professional development through educational opportunities and workshops
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nursing personnel
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide recommendations for enhancement
  • Adhere to established departmental protocols and procedures
  • Engage in nursing strategic initiatives aimed at quality improvement and patient satisfaction
  • Delegate responsibilities and supervise other care providers
  • Deliver direct nursing care as required
Qualifications

Education:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (preferred but not mandatory)
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience (preferred but not mandatory)
Licensure and Certifications:
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certification within 6 months of hire
  • Basic Arrhythmia Certification within 1 year of hire
  • Current RN license
  • CPR for Healthcare Providers/BLS Certification within 30 days of hire
  • Certification in specialty area (preferred but not mandatory)
Physical Requirements:
Heavy Work: Ability to exert 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently.

Work Environment:
Significant Hazards: Potential physical risks due to interactions with combative patients.
