L. A. Stevens & Associates, Inc. is a well-established Land Surveying firm serving the San Francisco Bay Area for nearly three decades. We are seeking a dedicated Land Surveyor Technician with the ability to obtain the L.S.I.T. designation within six months of employment.

California licensure is preferred, but we welcome surveyors relocating to California and pursuing state licensure.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough research, fieldwork, and office work.
  • Collaborate closely with the Principle Land Surveyor overseeing your assigned projects.
  • Contribute to a diverse range of surveying projects, including boundary surveys (simple and complex), land title surveys (ALTA), topographic mapping, least squares adjustments, monitoring, forensic surveys, GPS applications, Elevation Certificates, map preparation, legal descriptions, and construction staking.
  • Be prepared for occasional overtime based on project demands.
Requirements
  • Ability to lift loads exceeding 40 pounds and work safely in environments potentially containing poison oak.
  • Possess a clean driving record as reported by the Department of Motor Vehicles, ensuring eligibility to operate company vehicles.
  • Excellent hearing and speech skills for effective communication in person, over the telephone, or using two-way radios.
  • Demonstrate a willingness to research and document historical boundary evidence, including old wood hub corners, for potential litigation support.
Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D
  • Mastery of the MS Office Suite
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
