Your Responsibilities
As a Process Engineer, you will:
- Create and update work instructions and process documentation.
- Design, acquire, validate, and maintain tooling and testing equipment.
- Ensure tooling equivalency and maintain job aids and related documentation.
- Develop specialized repair processes that extend beyond standard documentation.
- Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action investigations for customer products.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to devise immediate solutions to emerging issues.
- Apply LEAN and 6S methodologies to enhance process efficiency.
- Undertake additional engineering tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess:
- A strong mechanical aptitude with at least 5 years of experience in hydraulic systems, components, and testing equipment.
- A preference for candidates with 3+ years in the aviation sector.
- Expertise in interpreting mechanical drawings and hydraulic schematics, including Boeing, Airbus, and Military specifications.
- Proficiency in precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
- Experience in designing mechanical or electro-mechanical tooling and testing equipment.
- Capability to manage small to mid-sized projects effectively.
- Technical report writing experience is advantageous.
- Familiarity with LabVIEW software programming is a plus.
- Experience in 3D modeling, preferably with Siemens NX or SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of LEAN and 6S manufacturing principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Outlook).
