Position Overview:

The Process Engineer for Hydraulics Product Support is an engaging and dynamic role focused on enhancing shop capabilities and ensuring process integrity throughout the program lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and update work instructions and process documentation.
  • Design, acquire, validate, and sustain tooling and testing apparatus.
  • Ensure tooling equivalency and maintain job aids and relevant documentation.
  • Develop specialized repair processes beyond standard documentation.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective action investigations for customer products.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to devise immediate solutions to emerging issues.
  • Implement LEAN and 6S methodologies to drive continuous process improvement.
  • Perform additional engineering tasks as required.
Qualifications:

Candidates should possess a strong mechanical aptitude with at least 5 years of experience in hydraulic systems, components, and testing equipment, with a preference for 3+ years in the aviation sector.

  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and hydraulic schematics, including Boeing, Airbus, and Military specifications.
  • Skilled in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and dial indicators.
  • Experience in designing mechanical or electro-mechanical tooling and testing equipment.
  • Proven track record in managing small to mid-sized projects.
  • Technical report writing experience is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with LabVIEW software programming is a plus.
  • Proficient in 3D modeling software (Siemens NX or SolidWorks preferred).
  • Knowledge of LEAN and 6S manufacturing principles.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Project, Outlook).
