Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at the State of Hawaii. As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing skilled mechanical repair work in the adjustment, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Independently perform skilled mechanical repair work in the adjustment, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of machinery and equipment.
  • Inspect, repair, and conduct preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment in tunnels and on tunnel approaches.
  • Conduct and report on structural inspections of tunnels, viaducts, and other infrastructure.
  • Read operating manuals and follow manufacturer's specifications, basic trade practices, and other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • Three (3) years of work experience in performing mechanical repair and maintenance of a wide variety of mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
