Job Title: Mechanical Engineer V

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer V to join our team at Hawaii County, HI. As a Mechanical Engineer V, you will be responsible for performing difficult professional engineering work in supervising and participating in the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems, and/or in the review and analysis of plans and specifications for mechanical engineering features and compliance with code requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise and participate in the design, installation, operation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and systems.
  • Review and analyze plans and specifications for mechanical engineering features and compliance with code requirements.
  • Perform other related duties as required.
Requirements:
  • Graduation from an accredited college or university with major work (baccalaureate degree) in mechanical engineering.
  • One (1) year of registered professional mechanical engineering experience.
  • Possession of a certificate of registration as a professional mechanical engineer in the State of Hawai`i at the time of filing.
  • Valid State of Hawai`i driver's license (Class 3) or any other valid comparable driver's license at time of filing.
