Job Summary

CORRE Inc is seeking a highly motivated and qualified Land Surveyor/Plat Specialist to join our infrastructure team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating multiple projects throughout the plat submittal and approval process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage multiple projects from start to finish, ensuring timely completion and high-quality results.
  • Train and develop staff on plat development processes, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Gather and analyze data, prepare reports, and create legal descriptions and documents related to easements, rights-of-way, and other property rights.
  • Collaborate with design staff and surveyors to ensure accurate and efficient right-of-way development.
  • Conduct thorough property research, acquire surveys, and verify existing rights-of-way to ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Develop Transportation Project Plats (TPP), traditional right-of-way plats, and acquisition exhibits, ensuring they meet the highest standards of quality and accuracy.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as surveying, engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional Land Surveying License.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Experience working with WisDOT and knowledge of transportation design processes.
  • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to multitask.
  • Strong math and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work well independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical requirements: ability to walk five (5) miles or more in a day on uneven terrain, excessive standing, lifting, or carrying, of a minimum of 50 lbs., pushing and pulling equipment, use of a keyboard.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge and expertise with Civil 3D.
  • Understanding of the WisDOT transportation design process.
  • Experience with Trimble office and Trimble survey equipment/software.
