Sterile Processing Supervisor

PeaceHealth is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisor Sterile Processing to join our team. As a key member of our Sterile Processing department, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations and ensuring the efficient processing of sterile equipment and supplies.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee daily workflow to ensure service standards are met and staff consistently follows standard job expectations and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate work assignments and oversee monthly schedule.
- Serve as a resource to staff for issues surrounding instrumentation and sterilization.
- Participate in the hiring selection process.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement policies, procedures, and business work plans for the department.
- Provide leadership and supervisory guidance in quality improvement efforts.
- Maintain and report required regulatory records and quality assurance reports.
- Participate in staff evaluation and disciplinary processes.
- Collaborate effectively with the Instrument Coordinator to assure seamless flow of surgical supplies and instruments.
- High School Diploma Required or Equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years Required: Experience in sterile processing, surgical services, and/or supply chain materials management
- Required: Knowledge of sterile processing and regulatory requirements
- Required: Experience with Ortho, Neuro, and General Surgical instrumentation
- Preferred: Previous leadership/supervisory experience
- Required: Certified Registered Central Service Technician through HSPA or Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician
- Skills: Proficient use of computers including MS Office applications, Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, Strong administrative, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Consistently operates computer and other office equipment. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Predominantly operates in an office environment.
