Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Sterile Processing Technician to join our team at PeaceHealth. As a key member of our Central Services department, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and sterility in our medical equipment and instruments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate autoclaves and other equipment to clean, decontaminate, and sterilize instruments and equipment.
  • Inspect and assemble instruments, trays, and packs to ensure they meet our high standards.
  • Coordinate, assemble, and distribute supplies, equipment, and instruments for surgical cases.
  • Restock inventory and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Completion of a National Central Service Technician course and/or six months experience as a Sterile Process Technician.
  • Natl Sterile Processing/Distribution Certification from IAHCSMM, CBSPD, or other nationally recognized certifying body within 1 year.
  • CER Certified Endoscope Reprocessor if working in PHMG within 1 year.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to move around the area with occasional sitting. You will be required to lift up to 25 pounds frequently and push/pull up to 10 pounds force. You will also be exposed to biohazard, body fluids, and airborne particles.
