Role Purpose: The primary objective of a Member Service Advisor (Lender) is to support FreeStar Financial Credit Union in achieving our mission of positively influencing the lives of our members, colleagues, and community through meaningful interactions and innovative financial solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Adhere to the core values and standards established for the role, ensuring superior service delivery to our members.
  • Provide accurate and efficient service in various transactions, including account inquiries, deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and resolving service issues both in-person and via phone.
  • Utilize Interactive Teller Machines (ITM) for transactions such as check cashing and loan payments.
  • Act as a backup teller, managing cash drawers and balancing daily transactions.
  • Serve as a backup vault teller when necessary, managing cash orders and ensuring the accuracy of vault transactions.
  • Open new accounts, certificates, and IRAs as required.
  • Assist members with inquiries related to their accounts and provide guidance on loan requests.
  • Educate members on credit insurance products to aid in their decision-making.
  • Meet member needs by promoting all products and services offered by the credit union, achieving established sales targets.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Preferred: Minimum of three years of experience in the financial services sector.
  • Preferred: At least two years of experience in lending.
