The Program Specialist is a key role in the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern NH, responsible for coordinating, managing, and overseeing the delivery of a broad range of programs and services for the Club's after-school program and summer camp.

This full-time position involves planning, developing, and implementing different programs where coverage is needed, ensuring proper conduct, safety, and development of members through leadership and supervision. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing and maintaining program goals and settings to ensure the health and safety of members, as well as overseeing the provision of day-to-day program activities in accordance with established Boys & Girls Club standards and goals.

  • Develop and implement programs that address member needs and promote diversity.">
  • Monitor program expenditures within approved budget and track outcome metrics.">
  • Manage and lead a team of program staff and volunteers to deliver high-quality programs and services.">
  • Foster positive relationships with community partners, parents, and stakeholders to promote the mission and goals of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern NH.">

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Central and Northern NH provides early learning, after-school programs, summer day camps, and basketball leagues to 1200 youth weekly throughout the central and northern New Hampshire. Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who most need us, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, and responsible citizens.

Requirements

">

The successful candidate must have a valid driver's license, high school diploma or general equivalency diploma, and one of the following:

  • ">
  • Written documentation from the department that they were qualified and employed as a site director in a school-age program.">
  • A minimum of an Associate's degree in early childhood education from a regionally accredited college or university.">
  • Certification of successful completion of training as a recreation director plus 1000 hours of experience working with children in a licensed childcare program.">
  • A total of 12 credits in child development, education, recreation, or another field of study focused on children from a regionally accredited college plus 1000 hours of experience working with children.">
  • Current certification as an educator by the Department of Education.">
  • Experience working with children totaling 2000 hours and the following: Current certification as a para II educator by the Department of Education OR at least 6 credits in child development, education, recreation, or another field of study focused on children from a regionally accredited college (can be enrolled in the first course with a written plan to complete 6 credits within 12 months of the date of employment).">
  • First Aid and CPR certifications are preferred.">

Salary Range

$55,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
