About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Banking Specialist II to join our team at FirstBank. As a key member of our branch operations, you will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, handling transactions, and promoting banking products and services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Service: Provide accurate and expeditious opening of new accounts and other products for current and new clients, while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
  • Transaction Handling: Process client transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Product Promotion: Explain the merits of alternative delivery systems, such as online banking, bill pay, and ATM networks, to clients and promote the use of these systems.
  • Loan Origination: Identify the need for borrowing and originate consumer loan applications, assisting in the processing and closing of loans.
  • Sales and Cross-Sell: Participate in sales events, such as in-aisle sales, internal and external events, outbound calls, and promotional activities, to increase sales and cross-sell opportunities.
  • Branch Compliance: Ensure branch compliance by performing tasks such as cash audits, alarm tests, loss prevention training, safe deposit delinquencies, ATM balancing, and monthly security reports.
  • Security and Risk Management: Protect the interests of the Bank and clients by following security, regulatory, and audit procedures, including daily balancing of individual teller drawers, ATM, and vault.
  • Team Support: Help coach Banking Specialist I on products, services, policies, and procedures, and contribute to the Bank's success by identifying sales opportunities and referring clients to the appropriate area.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Experience: Minimum of 12 months previous client service experience, with previous cash-handling experience required
  • Skills: Developed customer service skills, including written and verbal communication, and ability to use a PC and alpha/numeric keyboard
  • Availability: Flexible work week schedule, which may include Saturdays
