Assistant Site Manager

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will oversee the daily operations and management of the designated site/project. Your role will ensure that optimal business practices are upheld, while continuously assessing and recommending enhancements to operational controls, process efficiencies, and staff performance accountability.

Compensation & Benefits:

Key Responsibilities of the Assistant Site Manager:
  • Manage operations across assigned departments to ensure safe and secure childcare services in alignment with contractual obligations.
  • Maintain and understand operational budgets associated with the contract.
  • Supervise departmental leads across various functions.
  • Evaluate organizational and operational challenges to formulate or endorse timely and cost-effective solutions.
  • Implement and enforce corrective action plans and strategic initiatives.
  • Apply principles of change, risk, and resource management to all operational functions.
  • Coordinate and enhance employee performance; inspire and develop team members; facilitate communication between management and staff.
  • Provide comprehensive updates to leadership by participating in meetings and preparing, consolidating, and presenting relevant materials (e.g., slides, reports, assessments).
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned.
Qualifications, Education, Skills, and Abilities Required:
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field along with applicable experience.
  • Experience in senior leadership roles within large organizations.
  • Proven experience in managing substantial projects, particularly in emergency or contingency contract settings with federal entities.
  • Strong grasp of operations within a multi-functional organization, potentially encompassing public works, medical services, food service, recreation, education, housing, logistics, childcare, and social services.
  • Exceptional supervisory and leadership capabilities to manage a workforce of approximately 2,000 employees.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent time management and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the capacity to effectively engage with diverse individuals.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and the ORR UC Portal.
  • Ability to manage multiple work sites and teams simultaneously.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Comfortable interacting with senior-level personnel.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, tact, and team-building capabilities.
  • Demonstrated leadership qualities.
  • Ability to apply logical reasoning to analyze or identify underlying principles, reasons, or facts to draw conclusions and make timely decisions affecting resources and children in care.
  • Must meet pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal.
