Job Summary

We are seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at DHR Health. As a CNA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and supporting the healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Assist with direct patient care, including bathing, dressing, and grooming residents
  • Monitor and report vital signs, such as temperature, pulse, and blood pressure
  • Provide care to minimize the risk of skin breakdown and promote wound healing
  • Assist with feeding and hydration, following prescribed feeding protocols
  • Participate in and receive report daily at start of shift, prioritizing the specific needs of residents
  • Support nursing staff in a calm, efficient manner during acute, emergency situations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Charge Nurse or Department Director
Requirements
  • Graduated from an accredited Certified Nurse Assistant program
  • Current Texas CNA license required
  • Current BLS/CPR certification required
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with all levels of nursing, administration, and physicians
  • Prefer hospital experience
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The CNA must be able to lift, move, and transfer residents safely and efficiently, and must be sensitive to cultural and bilingual issues.

Reporting Structure

The CNA will report to the Charge Nurse, who will provide guidance and support as needed. The Charge Nurse will also provide feedback and coaching to ensure the CNA is meeting the standards of the position.
