Job Overview
As a Senior Pharmacy Technician, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our pharmacy operations meet the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and compliance. You will lead and mentor a team of pharmacy associates, fostering a culture of excellence and adherence to company values such as respect, integrity, and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead by example to ensure departmental standards are upheld and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new technicians, guiding them through their development.
  • Provide ongoing training and mentorship to pharmacy associates, ensuring they are equipped to perform their roles competently.
  • Maintain necessary certifications and licenses as required by state regulations.
  • Identify and facilitate training opportunities, coordinating with supervisors for on-the-job training.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of pharmacy operations and processes.
  • Actively participate in team meetings, addressing shift concerns and communicating management directives.
  • Assist in the creation and adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), ensuring compliance among associates.
  • Perform essential technician duties on the production floor as required.
  • Guide team members to follow established procedures and practices.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert, identifying areas for improvement and providing coaching as needed.
  • Collaborate with shift supervisors to prioritize daily tasks and direct team efforts accordingly.
  • Demonstrate the ability to fulfill essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED is required.
  • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in a related field is desirable.
