Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate patient flow, obtain patient demographics, and prepare patients for provider visits.
  • Organize daily schedules and work activities to meet patient needs.
  • Assist with triage, patient prescription refills, and referrals, and provide prescription education.
  • Independently execute preceptor duties, serve as a clinical resource, and guide colleagues through processes to provide optimal patient care.
  • Work with clinical management to assess and determine process protocols for clinics and conduct meetings with clinic staff and practice managers.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent education.
  • Five years of experience as a Senior/Advanced Medical Assistant.
  • Two years of demonstrated leadership experience, preferably in healthcare.
  • CMA - National Certified Medical Assistant, or equivalent certification.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPT - Phlebotomy Technician Certification.
  • EPIC proficiency.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Demonstrate skills and competencies necessary to safely perform the assigned job.
  • Effective communication with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers.
  • Knowledge of medical practice and care of patients.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Working Conditions:

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment, with frequent interruptions and changing priorities. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively in a team setting, communicate clearly and concisely, and maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive patient information.
