About the Role

This Non-Exempt/Hourly position requires a minimum three years' experience in direct customer service and trouble-shooting. You will engage with our valued customers over the phone, assisting them with order placements, product inquiries, and resolving any service-related questions they may have. Conduct credit verification for new accounts to determine appropriate terms and credit limits.

  • Set up new customer accounts in the Sage system.
  • Manage overdue accounts and contact customers to discuss past due balances.
  • Regularly review customer accounts to assess credit worthiness for releasing new orders.
  • Re-evaluate existing customer accounts to adjust terms and credit limits as necessary.
  • Complete accounts receivable month-end procedures.
  • Data entry for sales orders, pick tickets, invoicing, produce information and order status.

Requirements
  • Minimum three years' experience direct customer service and trouble-shooting experience, either in-person or by phone.
  • Ability to determine and handle confidential company and customer information.
  • Strong phone etiquette.
  • Ability to work in a collaborative, creative environment as a team player.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Proficiency in Distributor Software computer modules of Order Entry, Inventory, Accounts Receivable, Billing (for example Sage Mas200, Great Plains, or Macola).

The starting pay range for this position is $35,000 - $50,000 per year, depending on your location, expertise, and years of experience. In addition to a competitive salary, you'll have access to performance-based bonuses and a wide range of benefits.
