Senior Credit Card Portfolio Director

The Navigant Credit Union is seeking a highly experienced Credit Card Portfolio Manager to oversee the development, implementation, profitability, and management of both consumer and business credit card portfolios.
This role involves strategic planning, product development, policy and procedure development, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. The successful candidate will oversee and execute credit card management projects, utilizing data analytics to drive strategic decision-making and optimize performance.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead cross-functional teams to ensure a trained, motivated, and professional staff capable of providing members efficient and effective business customer services.
- Develop and implement strategies to grow both consumer and business credit card portfolios, analyzing market trends and competitor offerings to identify opportunities for growth.
- Monitor and report on the performance of credit card products, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Design and execute targeted marketing campaigns to optimize acquisition metrics such as the number of new credit card accounts opened, the cost per acquisition, and the approval rate of credit card applications.
- Oversee the activation and usage of credit cards by tracking key metrics like the activation rate of new cards, the average transaction value, the number of transactions per account, and the overall spend volume.
- Develop and implement comprehensive promotional campaigns to enhance customer engagement and loyalty, launching and marketing new rewards programs, promoting balance transfer offers with competitive rates, coordinating seasonal promotions, managing referral programs, and establishing partnership campaigns with popular brands and local businesses.
- Serve as a subject matter expert and represent business needs, ensuring project deliverables align with technical requirements, company policies, and legal standards while providing expert guidance and support to project teams.
- Manage the product lifecycle, including product development, pricing, and promotions, operating within approval limits for lending authority and risk limits for consumer loans.
- Collaborate with credit card analysts, marketing, sales, customer service teams, and IT support staff to enhance product offerings and customer experience.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in a business or closely related field required, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in credit card management or a related field, preferably in a credit union or financial institution.
- Experience with digital and mobile banking platforms required.
- Knowledge of consumer lending practices and principles required.
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams, possess strong service orientation skills, and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of laws and regulations impacting the consumer and business credit card functions required.
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to conduct presentations and training programs, handle multiple projects/priorities simultaneously with an effective outcome, and deal with highly confidential information.
- Excellent verbal, written, telephone, and interpersonal communication skills required.
Estimated Salary Range: $80,000 - $120,000 per year
