About the Role

M.C. Dean, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Senior Procurement Agent to join our team. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a critical role in supporting our growing businesses.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Planning
    • Develop comprehensive RFP's and analyze multiple quotes to ensure best value opportunities.
    • Negotiate and finalize agreements with vendors, including Original Equipment Manufacturers, construction subcontractors, and fabricators.
    • Develop and implement procurement plans, including post-award procurement planning and implementation on major projects and programs.
  • Market Intelligence and Analysis
    • Understand and evaluate current market conditions, including pricing trends, lead times, and logistical requirements.
    • Capture and communicate market intelligence across projects and programs.
  • Contract Management
    • Read, understand, and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and project schedules.
  • Communication and Collaboration
    • Function as a key liaison between the Procurement team and internal stakeholders, including the Executive Team, Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing.
    • Work closely with the core Program/Project teams to manage high-visibility and high-value programs.
  • Travel and Site Visits
    • Travel to project sites, manufacturers, and vendors as needed.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree plus 5 years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience.
  • Relevant purchasing experience, including sourcing, negotiating contracts, and managing procurement plans.
  • Proven written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with accounting principles.
