Our institution is committed to serving a diverse student body and enhancing the representation of our faculty and staff to better prepare students for a global community. We are seeking candidates who have a proven track record in engaging with diverse student populations.
SCC is looking for a full-time Admissions Recruiter responsible for advocating for the college to external organizations, attracting potential students, and guiding them through the admissions journey.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to:
- Identifying and recruiting potential students; visiting local high schools and acting as a bridge between SCC and educational institutions. Achieving recruitment and enrollment targets while managing designated recruitment areas. Organizing and facilitating annual college fairs and other campus activities.
- Implementing and promoting the BeReady recruitment initiative in high schools. Assisting with registration processes at these institutions. Utilizing the A+ Program as a recruitment strategy.
- Participating in community events and attending external college fairs.
- Contributing to the planning and execution of on-campus programs. Collaborating with the Marketing and Communications Department to create college promotional materials. Utilizing recruitment CRM software effectively to engage and convert prospective students. Providing follow-up communication to interested candidates post-initial contact.
- Working alongside Workforce Development personnel to attract corporate tuition reimbursement participants and other non-traditional student demographics. Training Student Ambassadors to assist with campus tours.
QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- A Bachelor’s degree or higher with at least one year of relevant experience, or an Associate’s degree with three years of related experience, or a combination of education and experience.
- Exceptional communication skills, with a strong emphasis on confidentiality.
- A professional demeanor with the ability to interact effectively with individuals from various backgrounds and age groups.
- Availability for evening and weekend hours during peak recruitment periods and special events.
